פרופ' דורון שולצינר (Prof)

פרופ'  שולצינר פרסם כשלושים חיבורים אקדמיים מהם עשרים בכתבי עת שפיטים ומובילים בתחומים שונים, כולל מדע המדינה, סוציולוגיה פוליטית, משפט ופסיכולוגיה. 

הוא מומחה לחקר תנועות מחאה ודמוקרטיזציה. מחקריו נוגעים להיבטים שונים של תנועות מחאה משלב הסיבות להופעת מחאות, דרך אלמנטים שונים המשפיעים על מחאה ומאפשרים אותה, וכלה בסיקור תקשורתי של תנועות מחאה.

הוא זכה בפרס תרומה מחקרית משמעותית לחקר תנועות מחאה מטעם האגודה האמריקנית לסוציולוגיה (2014) על מחקרו לגבי הסיבות שהביאו לפרוץ חרם האוטובוסים המפורסם בעיר מונטגומרי בשנת 1955 בהנהגתו של ד"ר מרטין לותר קינג.

מחקריו עוסקים גם בניתוח ההתפתחות של תנועות מחאה לאור שלבים מובחנים (מקורות, מחאה, תוצאה) וכן היבטים של הטיה פוליטית בסיקור תקשורתי של תנועות מחאה וסיקור חדשותי בכלל.

לצד זאת, פרופ' שולצינר פרסם מספר מאמרים בתחום המשפט ומושג כבוד האדם במבט משווה. הוא פרסם מאמרים אודות השימושים והמשמעויות של המושג במערכות משפט שונות, בחוקות של המדינות החברות באו"ם, ובחשיבה דתית-יהודית בהשוואה לחשיבה חילונית-ליברלית. הוא הציע גישה פסיכולוגית להבנת מושג כבוד האדם וכן את יישומו לגבי מצב אסירים בבתי הסוהר.
