Message from the Department Head
We are a vibrant and highly active department with excellent lecturers who teach cutting edge knowledge and practical skills in the fields of political science, communication, diplomacy and international relations. Students are prepared for employment in the public and private sectors, NGOs, and generally in the field of communications and journalism.

Main Areas of Activity
Students benefit from a high level of academic and practical training, and many proceed to advanced degrees after their undergraduate degrees.
Students gain practical experience in various fields, especially journalism, public relations, media representation and politics. Many participate in international courses offered abroad which provide an opportunity to learn about the politics, communication, and cultural aspects of a different country, often through collaboration with international students.
The department has its own online news magazine (www.gatekeepers.jmc.ac.il) in which students publish their work and develop their own professional resumé.
Career Opportunities
Students can find work opportunities and employment in the public sector such as the Knesset or government ministries, the private sector, NGOs, and other media-related positions in journalism, advertising, and social media management. Some 90% of our students gain employment work in relevant fields.
What’s New?
Students recently returned from a field study in Montenegro, and a group will be departing soon for an international course in Prague in collaboration with Charles University.
