About the College
Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (JMC) is one of Israel’s most impactful institutions of higher education.
As the academic home for 5,000 students from all parts of society, we equip them with the skills, support, and confidence to build brighter futures and meet Israel’s changing needs. Located in the heart of Jerusalem, we offer practical, high-quality academic programs, a pluralistic campus culture, and a path to successful employment: more than 90% of our graduates secure jobs in their field.
At JMC, We Believe in You. More than a motto, those words reflect a deep commitment to student success. Our student body includes Jews and Arabs, secular and religious students, and a growing Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox) population supported by a dedicated campus. Most are the first generation in their families to attend college. We provide them with the resources, support, and real-world training to thrive — in the classroom, the workforce, and the world.
Founded in 1970 as Hadassah College of Technology and later known as Hadassah Academic College, we adopted our new name in 2025 to fully reflect our mission. “Jerusalem” affirms our enduring place in Israel’s capital, where our campus began as a 19th-century field hospital; “Multidisciplinary” points to our role in preparing students to meet the nation’s evolving workforce with needs that transcend traditional disciplines and professions. Our academic offerings span biotechnology, computer science, optometry, communication disorders, and creative design, alongside business, management, and the social sciences.
In a post-October 7 world, JMC’s role is more vital than ever—training professionals in high-demand rehabilitative health related fields, while supporting student reservists who balance military service with academic success. Whether in classrooms, clinics, studios, or labs, our students and graduates are building a stronger, more resilient Israel.
