Dr. Lior Namati-Schneider Publishes Research on Soft Skills, Burnout, and Quality of Care in Healthcare Professions

Congratulations to Dr. Lior Namati-Schneider of the Department of Health Systems Management on the publication of her article, “Soft Skills Between Professional Ideals and Organizational Constraints: Healthcare Professionals’ Perspectives,” in BMC Nursing (Q1, Impact Factor 4.5).

The article examines the role of soft skills in the work of healthcare professionals, exploring how competencies such as empathy, communication, teamwork, and emotional regulation are shaped by workplace conditions and organizational environments.

The study’s findings reveal a significant gap between healthcare professionals’ recognition of the importance of soft skills and their ability to apply them in practice under conditions of heavy workloads, pressure, and burnout. The research highlights that strengthening soft skills requires not only professional training, but also organizational support and recognition of emotional and communicative labor as integral components of high-quality patient care.
