We are proud to announce the publication of a new article by Dr. Daniel Weisheit of the Department of Psychology and the School of Social Work, featured in Mikbatz – The Israeli Journal of Group Psychotherapy.

"A Film Club as a Group Therapy Tool for Holocaust Survivors and Their Families”

The article has its roots in work that began thirty years ago, in collaboration with Dr. Motti Cohen (now at the Ithaca Institute in Amsterdam). At the time, Daniel was teaching the "Group Therapy" course and identified a lack of Hebrew-language literature on the use of expressive and creative tools in group settings.

While the journey to publication took over two years—and although Daniel no longer teaches the course—the resulting article offers a valuable exploration of the principles behind using cinema in group therapy. It presents these concepts through the lens of group work with Holocaust survivors and their families.

Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Weisheit on this amazing accomplishment!
