Efrat Firer
I am a speech-language pathologist, lecturer, and researcher in the Department of Communication Disorders. I completed my Ph.D. in the School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, focusing on regulating emotions in heated discussions around controversies in learning contexts.
My work integrates research, teaching, and clinical and educational practice. I serve as the coordinator of the speech and language area at the Strauss Campus, teach theoretical and clinical courses, and work as a speech-language pathologist in child development. In addition, I am a member of the Center for Dialogic Education and am engaged in research and educational practice focusing on the integration of dialogic pedagogies in educational settings and in higher education.
