דניאל ווייסהוט סיים את לימודי התואר הראשון והשני בפסיכולוגיה קלינית באוניברסיטה העברית ואת התואר השלישי בפסיכולוגיה קלינית וארגונית, PsyD, בבית הספר לפסיכולוגיה בסקרמנטו. כמו כן, הוא בעל תואר שני במנהל עסקים, MBA, מהאוניברסיטה העברית. הוא מרצה בכיר בחוג לפסיכולוגיה ובביה"ס לעבודה סוציאלית של המרכז האקדמי הרב תחומי ירושלים, בו הוא מתנדב במספר תפקידים נוספים. הוא חוקר, מטפל ויועץ, עם עניין מיוחד במצבים של קונפליקט חברתי/תרבותי. הוא מילא תפקידים שונים בארגונים לשינוי חברתי.
