What do we study in the Photographic Communication Program?

The department’s curriculum at the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary Academic Center is designed so that every student develops both broad knowledge and genuine professional depth across the fields of photography and visual media. The program offers comprehensive professional-level training in still photography and video production, including portrait, fashion, product, culinary, and documentary photography, among others.

At the same time, students are introduced to and work with advanced media technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, visualization, interactive media, and the integration of artificial intelligence in visual creation. The program also includes professional-level video editing and image editing, alongside training in advanced applications such as visual effects and high-level digital image processing.

The program, led by Yoram Reshef, includes about 100 hours of professional internship experience conducted in partnership with leading photographers, organizations, and institutions active in Israel's technological and visual fields.

Even before graduation, students gain firsthand exposure to the job market, explore a wide range of professional paths, and acquire the tools and insights needed to shape a clear career path.

Approximately fifty organizations across the field take part in the program.   • Tuition at the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary Academic Center is set at the standard university level.

    * Eligible students may receive a tuition refund for their first year of study under the law supporting the integration of discharged soldiers.

  • The program lasts two and a half years and comprises six semesters.

  • Admission to the Photographic Communication program requires a complete matriculation certificate with a passing grade in English of at least 4 units or a completed preparatory program.
