Student Exchange

We warmly welcome international students and encourage our own students to study abroad. Student mobility broadens horizons, develops cultural sensitivity, and promotes lifelong professional networks.

Recent partnerships include MOME (Hungary), Anant University (India), West Bohemia University (Czech Republic), and the STARC Institute (Cyprus). Students have also taken part in summer programs at Škoda Auto University (Czech Republic).

Information for Incoming Students

International students may join the department for either a full academic semester or a short intensive course (one-week workshop).

Student Experience:

Our department offers a unique atmosphere shaped by Israeli academic culture: direct, open, and human-centered. As a small program, we nurture strong personal relationships between faculty and students, encourage peer learning, and foster a spirit of collaboration rather than competition.
Students benefit from close mentorship, teamwork, and a supportive environment where creativity and experimentation are encouraged. The community atmosphere allows each student to grow both as a designer and as a person.

Why Jerusalem?

Studying design in Jerusalem means living in one of the world’s most fascinating cities — where history, culture, and innovation intersect. For international students, Jerusalem offers both a vibrant student life and easy access to major tourist and cultural sites. Within minutes you can explore the Old City, hike in the surrounding hills, or enjoy the café culture of downtown.
The city’s compact scale makes everything close and accessible, combining the advantages of an urban hub with the feel of a lively campus town. This unique setting enriches both academic study and everyday life.
