Developing AI literacy in medical and health professions education: Exploring ChatGPT, ChatBots development, and simulation-based learning

Congratulations to Lior Naamati-Schneider on the publication of the article “Developing AI literacy in medical and health professions education: Exploring ChatGPT, ChatBots development, and simulation-based learning” in Nurse Education in Practice (Q1, IF4-), in collaboration with Prof. Dorit Alt from Tel-Hai College.

The article explores the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the training of health professionals and examines an innovative simulation-based learning model that combines hands-on practice with ChatGPT alongside the development of dedicated ChatBots by the students themselves.

The findings indicate that while both components contributed to the acquisition of prompting skills (designing and refining prompts), the ChatBot development stage had a more significant impact on the students’ intrinsic motivation—particularly on their sense of self-efficacy and engagement in the learning process.
