JMC recently held a tree-planting ceremony, establishing a new memorial garden of olive trees in memory of the fallen members of the JMC community. The families were invited to the event, called “Roots of Remembrance.”
The ceremony began with heartfelt remarks from JMC President Prof. Ariela Gordon-Shag, CEO Shay Avrahami, and family members who shared memories of their loved ones, along with JMC representatives who knew the fallen and spoke about their personal experiences.

Participants then went outside to plant an olive tree in memory of each of the following individuals: Lt. Col. Uriel Bibi, Staff Sgt. Michael Gal, Sgt. Yehuda Greenfeld, Sgt. Hanan Drori, Chief Sgt. Dr. Chaim Katzman, Yitzhak Levy, Staff Sgt. Danil Patseniuk, Capt. Sagi Rubinstein, and Maj. Idan Rosenthal.
The event concluded with the unveiling of a memorial plaque dedicated to the fallen. Special thanks to Merav Daniel, Head of the Information, Guidance, and Alumni Preservation Center, and the Marketing Department for initiating and organizing this meaningful event.
