The Career section of TheMarker newspaper features a different student each week. This week, they selected one of our own: Assaf Ben Dov, a Human Resource Management student at JMC.
"I'm a people person. I find it easy to connect with others and work with them, and I wanted to channel that natural inclination into the world of employment and human resources."
Assaf Ben-Dov, a third-year Human Resource Management student at Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College, shares how he has balanced his studies with more than 380 days of military reserve service, a part-time job, and raising a young family. In the interview, he reflects on what drew him to the field of human resources, the support he received from JMC during the war, and his hopes for a career that combines professional growth with meaningful human connection. Looking ahead, Assaf discusses the changing world of work and explains why he believes that, despite the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, empathy, compassion, and the ability to connect with people will always be at the heart of human resources.
