Last week, JMC’s International Office and Dr. Chen Baram from the Department of Psychology hosted a delegation from the Swedish Theological Institute, located in the historic Beit Tabor—just across from the Helmsley Building.
The Institute, affiliated with both the Swedish national Lutheran church and the academic community, brings students and church members from Sweden to Jerusalem for study programs and interfaith dialogue.
The visit, initiated by Dr. Baram—who regularly brings his students to the Institute as part of the course Observing Jerusalem—included a campus tour, academic discussions, and a meeting with JMC President Prof. Ariella Gordon-Shaag.
The delegation, led by Reverend Dr. Anna Hjälm, expressed interest in exploring future collaborations between Swedish institutions and JMC.
