Students at the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary Academic Center—some of whom returned directly from the battlefield— are transforming personal experiences of war, loss, and trauma into powerful final projects in photography, film, and interactive media. Drawing on lived realities—including reserve service, post-traumatic stress, and the moral dilemmas of combat—the works explore the emotional aftermath of war through deeply personal lenses. From a film portraying women coping with PTSD after military service, to an immersive video game confronting players with the ethical and psychological weight of combat, and a graphic memorial project preserving the handwritten words of those who were killed, these projects give voice to grief, resilience, and the search for meaning in the shadow of conflict.
