This year, we welcome a new cohort of the Opti-IL French-Language Optometry Program. This is the second cohort of the joint program between the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, in which new immigrants from France pursue a bachelor’s degree in optometry taught in French, while also studying Hebrew and English in an ulpan framework. Later in the program, students integrate into the regular Hebrew-language curriculum.
The program provides a comprehensive support system to help new immigrants adjust to life in Israel and offers both academic and social assistance throughout their studies.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Hadas Ben-Eli, Head of the Optometry Department; Ms. Yael Katlan, Head of the International Office; Ms. Emmanuelle Damari, Ms. Yaffa Zarviv, and Dr. Rachel Zagura, Academic Advisors of the program; and Ms. Valérie Crescenti, Aliyah Coordinator at the College.
We wish all the students, as well as the faculty and staff, a successful and enriching academic year.
