We are proud to share that Prof. Ann Saada-Reisch, Head of the Master’s Program in Medical Laboratory Sciences at JMC, was recently invited to serve as the external examiner (opponent) for a doctoral defense at the prestigious Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

The formal ceremony included an opening lecture by Prof. Saada-Reisch on mitochondrial diseases, followed by a presentation of the doctoral research and an oral examination in the presence of faculty members, supervisors, friends, family — and members of the Nobel Prize Committee.

The dissertation was successfully approved, and the evening concluded with a celebratory dinner — marking not only a significant academic milestone for the candidate, but also a moment of international recognition for Prof. Saada-Reisch and JMC’s scientific leadership.
