Hadar Porat, a JMC Inclusive Industrial Design student in the DAN Department of Creative Human Design, won a design award during her Erasmus+ student exchange at West Bohemia University in Pilsen, Czech Republic, alongside her colleague Sagi Levin.
As part of the annual “Function & Fun” competition held in the department’s main studio, students were tasked with building a toy vehicle powered by half a meter of rubber that could travel at least ten meters and climb as high as possible on a ramp specially constructed for the event.
During the elaborate race evening, where all students competed to see whose vehicle would travel the farthest on the ramp, two designers from Pilsner Urquell were invited to select two designs that caught their eye. Although Hadar’s vehicle did not travel the farthest, the designers chose her design and awarded her a special prize—a voucher valid at all Pilsner Urquell bars.
Porat and Levin were recognized for their combination of creative design and technical execution, earning professional recognition from leading figures in the Czech design industry.
