JMC Co-Hosts Regional Conference on Internationalization and Graduate Employability
Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (JMC), in partnership with Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), proudly co-hosted the Regional Conference on Career Services: Internationalization and Employability, bringing together higher education leaders from across the Eastern Mediterranean to strengthen collaboration between academia and the world of work.
The conference took place in Chania, Greece, and welcomed representatives from Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece), The Cyprus Institute (Cyprus), the University of Montenegro, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia), and Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (Israel). JMC's delegation also included the Development Manager of the Edmond de Rothschild Center for Higher Education–Employment Connections, reflecting the College's commitment to building stronger links between higher education and the labor market.

Over three days, participants explored innovative approaches to integrating internationalization and employability into academic programs, the use of AI in career services, international internships, and new models for connecting students with regional industries. A major outcome of the conference was the agreement to develop a regional framework for employability and internationalization, including a collaborative course and a regional Employability Ambassadors Network to strengthen partnerships between universities, students, employers, and local communities.
The Chania meeting marked the launch of an exciting long-term regional initiative. The collaboration will continue at the second conference, to be hosted by JMC in Jerusalem in November 2026, where partners will further develop this shared vision for preparing graduates to succeed in an increasingly global workforce.
