The talk will review the basics of ocular Graft Vs Host Disease, including background, diagnostic tools and criteria, current principles of management and best practice recommendations.
Dr. Sarah Brem Sunshine, MD (Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, 2014) is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a specialist in cornea and cataract with a focus on ocular complications from cancer therapy. Dr. Sunshine established a specialized ophthalmology clinic within the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and leads research on ocular graft versus host disease while mentoring ophthalmology residents. In addition to her clinical work, she has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and holds a US published ophthalmology patent.
