LecturerDr. Ifrah is an optometrist with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Optometry from Hadassah Academic College, a Master’s degree in medical neurobiology from the Hebrew University and a Doctoral degree in Optometry from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in collaboration with Hadassah Academic College.
She has been teaching at Hadassah Academic college since 2008 and is an active researcher in the field of meibomian gland dysfunction and dry eye.

Dr. Shlomit Zorani

Lecturer
Dr. Shlomit Zorani, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the Optometry program at Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (JMC), where she teaches courses in visual perception, ocular pharmacology, and optics. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Optometry and Vision Science from Bar-Ilan University, and a Ph.D. in Medical and Health Sciences from Tel Aviv University. Currently, Dr. Zorani is a post-doctoral researcher at the Joseph Sagol Neuroscience Center, focusing on developing methods to quantify apathy in individuals at high risk of dementia. Her research interests include facial perception, cognition, and pain empathy. Dr. Zorani is committed to advancing her academic career and making a meaningful impact in her field.

Amit Mandelbaum
Teacher
Amit Mandelbaum serves as the founder and CTO of Embie, which is improving and personalizing fertility treatments with the help of machine learning tools and AI.
Amit has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with honors from Bar-Ilan University and a master's degree in computer science with honors from the Hebrew University. Previously, Amit worked at Intel as a hardware engineer, then he was the first employee at Imubit, which develops optimization solutions for refineries based on deep learning. After that, Amit founded and led the artificial intelligence activities of the Mellanox (now Nvidia Networking) where he built a cross-organizational group that provides value to all company departments using artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.
Amit has published many articles and patents at leading conferences including AAAI, GECCO, ISPA and more. Amit's research interests are natural language processing, reinforcement learning, machine learning in the world of medicine, and more. -
